Hive Digital’s Buzz HPC Secures $30M AI Cloud Contracts for Manitoba Expansion
Hive Digital Technologies' high-performance computing division, Buzz HPC, has locked in $30 million worth of customer agreements for AI cloud capacity. The two-year fixed-term contracts will fuel GPU deployment at its Canada West facility in Manitoba, marking a strategic expansion of its AI infrastructure.
Initial phase deployment includes 504 liquid-cooled GPUs on Dell servers, projected to generate $15 million in annual recurring revenue. The full high-performance computing rollout could scale to $35 million yearly as Hive expands its GPU clusters. This MOVE leverages Tier-III colocation to reduce costs compared to self-funded builds.
The Canada West deployment, scheduled for Q1 2026, will handle intensive AI workloads. Hive's global ambition targets 11,000 GPUs across its operations, blending cryptocurrency infrastructure with emerging AI demand. The company is opting for third-party data center partnerships rather than complete self-construction.
